I started this business back in 2014. The goal was simple—do solid work, charge fair prices, and build something I could actually be proud of. A decade later, that’s still what gets me up in the morning.
In the beginning, it was mostly small jobs. Touch-ups here, a bedroom there, the occasional exterior refresh. Now we handle full kitchen cabinet refinishing, complete house repaints, commercial spaces—pretty much whatever needs doing. But the fundamentals haven’t changed. I still believe good prep work matters more than anything else, and I still think clients deserve to know exactly what they’re paying for.

This isn’t a huge company. It’s me, Mike, and a small crew I’ve worked with for years. When you call, you’re talking to the person who’s going to be in your house with a paintbrush. Not a sales team. Not some project manager who vanishes after you sign. Just me.
Here’s the usual process: We cover everything that needs protecting—floors, furniture, the works. Then comes prep. Sanding, patching, priming. This part takes longer than people expect, but it’s the difference between paint that looks good for six months and paint that still looks good in five years. Once surfaces are ready, we apply the actual coats. Usually takes 2-3 depending on the color and what we’re covering. Then we clean up. I mean really clean up, not just sweep and leave.
We do interior painting—walls, ceilings, trim, doors. Exterior work too, whether that’s a full repaint or fixing sections that are peeling. Cabinet refinishing has become a big part of the business lately. People want to update their kitchens without dropping $30k on new cabinets, and honestly, a good refinish can look just as good if done right.
Drywall repair comes up constantly. You’d be surprised how many walls have issues once you start looking close. We patch holes, fix cracks, deal with water damage—whatever it takes to get a smooth surface.
Pressure washing is sometimes its own job, sometimes prep for painting. Either way, it makes a massive difference on exteriors that haven’t been cleaned in years.
Then there’s the random stuff. I’ve restored rusted metal fences, stained custom wood kitchens, done pre-sale touch-ups for real estate agents. If it involves making surfaces look better, we’ve probably handled it.
Surface prep, quality paint, proper technique—these things cost more time and money upfront, but they’re why our work lasts. I’ve seen too many cheap paint jobs start failing within a year. That’s not how we operate.
After 10+ years and hundreds of jobs, there’s not much we haven’t dealt with. High ceilings, intricate trim work, matching existing finishes, working around expensive furniture—we’ve figured out how to handle the tricky stuff without drama.
No phone tag with different people. No wondering who’s actually showing up. It’s straightforward communication from start to finish.
Drop cloths everywhere, careful taping, moving furniture properly. Your home doesn’t become a disaster zone. We work clean or we don’t work.
Check our reviews. Five stars across the board, and most of our new business comes from referrals. People don’t send their friends to mediocre painters.
I give you a quote based on actual labor and materials. No made-up “project fees” or surprise charges when we’re done. What we agree on is what you pay.
Mostly homeowners in LA who care about their properties and want someone reliable. We’ve worked in everything from small apartments in Koreatown to million-dollar homes in the hills. Also work with real estate professionals fairly often—agents who need places looking sharp for listings, property managers maintaining rentals.
The common thread isn’t price point or neighborhood. It’s people who understand quality costs a bit more but lasts a lot longer.
Projects get done when we say they will. If I tell you three days, it’s three days, not five. Your property gets protected properly—plastic, tape, drop cloths, the whole setup. Job sites get cleaned daily, not just at the end. And the finish looks professional because it is professional.
I’ve been doing this since 2014. Clients keep coming back because the work holds up and because I don’t make the process complicated. You tell me what you need, I tell you what’s realistic, we agree on price and timeline, then we make it happen.
If you’re thinking about painting something, call or text. I’ll come take a look, we’ll talk through what you want, and I’ll give you a straightforward estimate. No pressure, no sales pitch. Just an honest conversation about your project and whether we’re a good fit.
I recently hired Mr. Rarov Painting for an interior painting project in my home — two rooms and some detailed touch-ups. Mike Rarov was very professional, punctual, and easy to communicate with. The paint work was done with great attention to detail, and everything looked clean and neat afterward. I’m really happy with the quality of the interior painting, and I would definitely recommend Mike to anyone looking for a reliable local painter in the area.

Mike was just wonderful to work with. He got in touch with me right away and we had a time to meet so he could give me an estimate. After meeting him even though I had one or two more people to meet I already knew I was going to go with him. Not only did he paint four rooms (two large rooms and three small rooms) in record time (two days!) but he also was able to patch a few places on the walls that needing filling and repairing. There were a couple things I threw on last minute to see if he could do, and he was able to work them in the same timeframe. I know he worked so hard and gave us a really beautiful outcome. I am very grateful for his work, his professionalism, and his time. If/when we need work done again, I will not hesitate to reach out to him. Thank you so much, Mike!
